Yoga Teacher Training
We at Be Joy Yoga School welcome and invite you to come as you are and join us on this magnificent ride. Whether you want to teach, are currently teaching or simply want to expand your knowledge and passion of yoga, the fertile ground of this training will support your growth - the direction of that growth is up to you.
RYS 500 hour
Our training is a journey through the eight limbs of yoga, using the mind, body, spirit as the vehicle. A long lingering with the yamas and niyamas will provide a deep understanding of yogic philosophies. You will spend intimate time with the sutras, learn a bit of Sanskrit, study the powerful effects of pranayama and meditation, and experience the subtle, energetic body. As well, you will become versed in the practice of hatha yoga, understand principles of alignment and the nuances of intelligent, creative, effective sequencing. Not only will you be able to teach safe, skillful practices as a confident, mindful yoga instructor, but also comprehend basic, practical principles to grow your business. All the bases will be covered toward empowered teaching or to take your practice to the next level.
An integral part of the training will be to explore the healing benefits of yoga on an emotional level, through examining the physiology and neurology of addiction, depression, stress, trauma, and other psychological disorders. You will have an understanding of how yoga can aid in healing on the physical, energetic, emotional and spiritual level, and learn various meditation, pranayama and asana practices to assist in that healing. Through exploring the client-teacher relationship, applying boundaries and comprehending the benefits of yoga, you will feel confident to assess the needs of students. Skills will be developed to sequence classes at any therapeutic level, and create safe, supportive, compassionate spaces for all to heal. As you examine your own biases, prejudices, limiting beliefs and patters toward your own healing, you will be empowered to lead others to see possibility in their darkness, remember who they are and embody their own light.
The environment of experiential, individualized and group learning will provide abundant space for your own personal inquiry and spiritual exploration. Through this immersion in the study of yoga, you will awaken and enliven the truth of who you are, strengthen your intuitive nature, develop your voice and learn to live and teach from an authentic space. The path of the training is broad and inclusive, and will lead you to connect with YOU and that which inspires you.
Come breathe, explore, reach your highest potential! The infinite possibilities of yoga await you!
