Lyndsey started her training in 2001 with the highly coveted book and video, “Yoga for Dummies. ” This ridiculous title started her on the journey of holistic wellness; becoming a massage therapist in 2003 and soon after teaching stretch and strength yoga techniques to personal clients and corporate clients. In 2009 Lyndsey started her accredited journey of alignment based yoga through, Anusara Yoga, with much honored Sianna Sherman, BJ Galvan and Jaye Martin. She has had the opportunity to train and travel though the US, India and Thailand for extensive immersions with Douglas Brooks, Hareesh Wallis and John Friend.
The most powerful lesson she exercised was the practice of “Sri Vision.” To look at all situations, poses and life interactions for a deeper meaning, value, importance or beauty; a recognition practice of “no ordinary moments.”
The practice of yoga has been th journey of “Sri Vision,” finding self acceptance and empowerment through reflection, meditation and asana. Lyndsey uses the practice of yoga to heal physical injuries from life and sport, but greater importance, uses the practice as an anchor to heal the heart and steady the mind.
In her classes she will be instructing in ways which address breath, mind, body and emotions; pulling from science research, spiritual philosophy and deep life experiences.
In the next year Lyndsey is looking forward to running her second marathon, starting a fashion athletic clothing line and recording her second CD.
She wishes to share her journey with you on the mat!
