Carrie believes yoga found her. She immediately felt the profound healing benefits of yoga and fell in love with the practice. This opening of her heart ignited a passion which led her to complete a teacher training with D’ana Baptiste and begin teaching yoga. Carrie has studied with many teachers including Ana Forrest, Rolf Gates, Christy Burnette, Brian Kest, Mitchell Bleier, and fellow local yoga instructors. Carrie is grateful to all her teachers for sharing their beauty with her. She offers a special thanks to D’ana for guiding her to breathe her essence to life.
Carrie has always seen her practice of yoga as gift – bringing balance, clarity and awareness to her life. Carrie experiences yoga as movement in stillness, stillness in movement; feeling a pose from within, and having that come as naturally as loving your son; space – for breath, for balance, for connection, for possibility, for joy! She is grateful and humbled to share her passion of yoga and brings to her classes a delicate balance between intention and surrender. Carrie guides each student to discover their own beauty, to embrace their humanness and to live from their place of truth. She is so blessed to watch as they discover their essence.
Carrie is an E-RYT, and a member of International Association of Yoga Therapists. Along with her yoga certifications, Carrie holds a B.S. in Social Sciences, a Secondary Teaching Certificate and a Masters in Education, from the University of Utah.
