Somatic Healing
Somatic healing is a trauma-informed yoga practice. An embodied integration, the focus is on allowing you to find a way home to yourself. Truly, yoga from the inside.
Once in our bodies (and know for many of us this take time) we practice with patience. Grounded in our breath, we give ourselves time to be in the posture and encounter all we have dismissed or run from or have feared. We sit with discomfort and learn how to breathe there. We move our body to the rhythm of our breath and watch what arises, giving room for it all. We settle and find stillness and listen. All of it leading us to healing, to a joining with those parts of us we have forgotten about. We find a new intimate engagement with who we truly are. It is an exquisite reunion.
I understand the depths of this work, this healing. All of my teaching arises from my own experience of trauma, my own experience of reinhabiting my body, my own experience of healing.
